Knowledge Environment Security Srl (KES) is a spin-off of Università degli Studi del Sannio .The mission of KES is Research and Development of highly innovative IT solutions and services in the following areas : Security , Knowledge management and distribution , Environment protection.The KES well balanced team assures the presence of scientific competences , financial capabilities and management expertise to proper manage customer requirements and the Company growth.KES is a very young start up but , thanks to the competences and the many years’ experience of the founders together with the closely cooperation with the Sannio University Laboratories , KES utilizes well established complex projects management methodologies and the most innovative software design technologies. The main competences of KES are : -IT complex project management -R&D and Technology Transfer -Software Development & System IntegrationKES know how is mainly focused on :-SOA architecture , computing on demand platforms and Open Source SW-Live collaboration & Knowledge Management -SCADA systems-Security and Emergency Management Processes- Smart cities solutionsKES has developed a sw platform to manage security system in critical infrastructures as harbours, airports, power plants etc. The start-up project is funded by the Italian Ministry for Research (Decreto Ministeriale n. 391 – April 2008). The KES platform is based on the following technologies:•sensor and data fusion, data mining;•signal processing, monitoring, command and control;•automatic recognition of dangerous behaviour•design of middleware to manage highly distributed application.KES has also developed an ICT solution for smart cities named I-City. I-City offers solutions for several domains of a smart city: Security, Infomobility, Environment, Energy, Water.
